STEP 1:
Don't put your recyclables in plastic bags.
- Putting recyclables in plastic bags seriously hinders the recycling process.
- Put all recyclables in large plastic containers or any other large reusable containers, such as large garbage pails.
STEP 2:
Combine milk/juice cartons and drink boxes with plastics, not paper.
- Combine these items with plastics, glass, and cans -- not paper items. (See chart)
Simply separate all your recyclables into 2 categories:
CATEGORY 1:
All plastics, glass, cans in one container |
CATEGORY 2:
All paper items in one container (or bundle) |

Drink Boxes
Plastic Milk Containers
Food Containers
Household Cleaner Containers
Laundry Detergent Bottles
Shampoo Bottles
Glass Includes:
Soda Bottles
Beer Bottles
Food Jars
Liquor Bottles
